Rheumatology Associates, P.C. offers professional and personal healthcare for each patient. Our practice offers a wide variety of in-house services including digital imaging, bone density (DXA), phlebotomy with in-house laboratory facilities, a dedicated infusion center, and our research unit. The practice was founded in 1976 and consists of seven board-certified and highly trained physicians that treat rheumatologic diseases. The physicians of Rheumatology Associates are affiliated with St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham.
The Rheumatology Associates Clinical Research Unit (RACRU) conducts NIH, investigator-initiated, and pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials investigating the use of novel therapies in the treatment of rheumatic disease including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoporosis, among others.
